Make Music Canada 2020

Created almost 40 years ago, La «Fête de la Musique» (Make Music Day) is an international event that promotes live music, both amateur and professional, of all styles and genres. It’s a free event and always takes place on June 21, the longest day of the year. It is as often as possible an outdoor event, taking place in streets, squares, public parks, and playgrounds. The concept quickly became a worldwide phenomenon! To this day, more than 700 cities in over 120 countries have hosted the ”Fête de la Musique”.

The 2020 edition

For the very first time, the 9 Alliances Françaises of Canada (Moncton, Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria) have decided to join forces in order to present this event together. We are aiming to unite and unify people from East to West (and even outside Canada!), around the same event, and to promote talents from all over Canada… with a 100% virtual event!
