Concert ESO – Maurice Ravel

Joseph Maurice Ravel (7 March 1875 – 28 December 1937) was a French composer, pianist and conductor. He is often associated with impressionism along with his elder contemporary Claude Debussy, although both composers rejected the term. In the 1920s and 1930s Ravel was internationally regarded as France’s greatest living composer.

The theme of the 7th international photography contest of the Alliance française network is “Fashion and Dress Codes.” Clothing is proof of affiliation: wearing clothes affirms a place in society, communicates signs of affiliations/membership, offers the potential for distinction, and allows one to express personal tastes. We have different fashions for traditions, celebrations, religious occasions, physical activity, etc. There are so many ways to dress up for specific occasions.
