{"id":24707,"date":"2026-01-16T12:06:01","date_gmt":"2026-01-16T17:06:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/af.ca\/ottawa\/?page_id=24707"},"modified":"2026-07-15T14:18:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T18:18:16","slug":"re-evaluation-request-of-the-tcf-test","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/af.ca\/ottawa\/en\/re-evaluation-request-of-the-tcf-test\/","title":{"rendered":"Re-evaluation request of the TCF Test"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JULY 2026 : IMPORTANT NOTICE &#8211; Suspension of TCF score re-evaluation requests<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In accordance with the instructions of France \u00c9ducation international (FEI), <strong>score review requests will no longer be accepted for TCF exams taken on or after September 1, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Eligibility is based on the date of your exam, not the date you receive your results.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Example 1 \u2013 Score review accepted \u2714\ufe0f<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Exam date: <strong>August 31, 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Results received: September 15, 2026<\/li>\n<li>You may submit a score review request within <strong>30 days of receiving your results<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Example 2 \u2013 Score review not accepted \u2718<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Exam date: <strong>September 2, 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Results received: September 17, 2026<\/li>\n<li>You are <strong>not eligible<\/strong> to request a score review.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you experience a problem during a listening or reading comprehension test (e.g., a technical or audio issue), you must <strong>inform the test centre immediately after the exam, on the same day<\/strong>. Any concerns reported after the results have been released cannot be considered.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>K<\/strong><\/span><strong style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ey information:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Re-evaluation fee: CAD $100 per test component, in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.<\/li>\n<li>Processing time: Requests are processed within 4 to 6 weeks from the date the complete file is sent to France \u00c9ducation international.<\/li>\n<li>Your request must be sent<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> within 30 days<\/span> after the results certificate was issued.<\/li>\n<li>Score changes: A re-evaluation may result in a higher or lower score.<\/li>\n<li>If a score is changed, only the revised certificate will be considered valid by Quebec and Canadian authorities, immigration authorities, and higher education institutions.<\/li>\n<li>In the event of a score change, the original certificate will no longer be valid.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The re-evaluation fee is non-refundable<\/strong><\/span>, regardless of whether the results remain unchanged or are revised upward or downward following the request.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>How to request a re-evaluation<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>To submit a re-evaluation request, please complete all the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Carefully review the key information. <strong>PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY PROCESS REQUESTS FROM CANDIDATES WHO TOOK THE TCF AT OUR OTTAWA TEST CENTRE.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Purchase the re-evaluation service for the relevant test component(s) <strong>(<\/strong><strong>Writing and\/or Speaking<\/strong>). They can be found at the bottom of this page.<\/li>\n<li>Download your <strong>payment receipt<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong> which must be included with your request.<\/li>\n<li>Download the re-evaluation request form(s) <span data-teams=\"true\">from the email you received with your receipt<\/span>\u00a0and:\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the required form(s);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sign each form by hand<\/strong> (electronic signatures are not accepted);<\/li>\n<li>Rename the PDF file(s) as follows:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>For the writing component:<strong> last name_first name_recorrection_EE_test date<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the speaking component:<strong> last name_first name_recorrection_EO_test date<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Example\u00a0: DUPONT_Jean_recorrection_EO_18-01-2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Email the receipt and completed form(s) in <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>PDF format <\/strong><\/span>to: <a href=\"mailto:certifications@af.ca\">accueil@af.ca<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Subject line: <em>TCF re-evaluation \u2013 [test date]<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once your request is complete and payment has been received, it will be forwarded to France \u00c9ducation international for processing. <strong>Processing times are 4 to 6 weeks from the date the file is submitted. During this period, our centre has no access to information regarding the status of your request.
